The first and most important thing to understand about politics is this: forget Right, Left, Center, socialism, fascism, or democracy. Every government that exists or ever existed, or ever will exist is a kleptocracy, meaning rule by thieves. Author L.

According to someone who comments on this site, yes. In case you aren't aware of the ongoing battle between 2 of the active commenters on pat.net.

Both. He didn't become a criminal after joining the force, he already was one.

Cops who commit crimes are by definition criminals and by necessity bad cops.

Robbing a person is a felony. He committed multiple instances of multiple felonies. He's a cop and a career criminal. These things should be mutually exclusive but they are not unless the state prosecutes criminal cops with at least the same vigor as they prosecute other criminals.

Committing a crime while being a cop does not excuse the crime. In fact, it makes the crime exponentially worse because the criminal cop used the power of his position, the state's monopoly on legal violence, and the public's trust against the public and the victims.

Criminal cops endanger their victims, society at large, your family, and honest cops. They are the worst kind of criminals and as such should be punished the most severely.

In Mexico, this is how they settle the payment of fines, if you have enough cash on you at the time.

In Chicago, you used to be asked if you wanted to buy a pencil to support the police pension fund. Cash.

Maybe the still do that there.
