More accurately a racist hate group of privileged persons of status and some useful fools who may find out that they stuck out their neck trying to fit in with the cool kids. Blue lives matter same as the wealthy lives matter that the enforcer-class wish to steal for themselves.

Another example of the the loss of a society that lives under privilege according to station in life instead of the rule of law.

The facts clearly contradict your narrative. Since cops were threatened to be prosecuted in Chicago if setting up checkpoints and frisking, they set up a perimeter and abandoned the checkpoints leading to a huge spike of black on black violence and killings. BLM protesters are the first to call for the cops when they get into a spat with somebody who disagrees with them, like that guy who choose to drive his truck through the blockade. "Quick, record it with your cell phone and someone call the cops!" At the very event where they were protesting said cops. In a lawless and copless society you will be going down like Broomcorn's uncle, and so will your family. You may not care for yourself, but you have a responsibility for the safety of your loved ones and minors. Don't get sucked in by the leftist hate propaganda against police officers. After all, they are human beings like all of us, parents, friends and acquaintances.

Sheer propaganda. All lives matter except the criminal lives. It's the criminals who are a threat to the average honest citizens like me, who just want to pursue a happy life in safety.

Absolutely. The BLM is built on two false concepts. First that racist cops are indiscriminately killing black men. The narratives of racism that originally arose from these incidents...Trayvon Martin, Freddie Gray, and Michael Brown....have been proven to be factually false. Second there's the idea that there is such widespread systemic racism that no one actually cares when an innocent black man is killed by actions of corrupt cops. Again false.

BLM is not against the police per se, but against cops committing violence while profiling and assaulting african- americans for unjustified reasons or no cause.

6   Dan8267   2016 Jul 21, 11:21am

People in the BLM movement have never said that black lives matter more than other lives. The entire point of the movement is that the police treat black lives as if they don't matter and thus there is no downside to just killing blacks. And that point is absolutely true.

In fact, the problem is even worse. Police strongly believe that the lives of police are way more important than the lives of everyone else. This is a core part of the police culture. They really do believe that you and your family are less human, less valuable, less important, and less worthy of life then they are. Nothing in BLM is analogous to this.

Which is very rarely proven, in fact, a recent study concludes that there is no bias wrt to violence or killings towards blacks, rather the opposite. Why did that Dallas cop take the bullets to shield that black woman from harm? Apart from generally bad (authority-loving/abusing), inexperienced/untrained and simply stupid cops in the few cases where there is poor behavior/judgement on the cops side I don't see any pattern of racism. Also I happen to know one or two (non-caucasian) cops currently serving, and they don't see any racism among their ranks either.

It's been proven by psychological research at Stanford Univ decades ago what happens when you give power to certain people over the other people. BOOM! Sadism!

Which is why criminals should never have power over simple people like me. Which is also why we need the police.

Corrupt acts of cops DO happen and we could spend all day going over actual PROVEN instances. However, BLM isn't in an uproar over those. They are in an uproar over incidents that are PROVEN false. Which is just wacky.

And why BLM deserves to be mocked.

Like I said people want to get things all backwards, people want to mock anything and they don't WANT to understand anything.

Exactly, it's a straw man argument and a deliberate distraction from the real issue: police who commit acts of terrorism aren't prosecuted and they need to be in order to stop these crimes.

if the KKK claims "White lives matter"

The point of saying black lives matter is to remind you that in much of our country's history wanton racial violence against blacks, lynching blacks and excessive sentencing against blacks were all considered par for the course especially by those who hold official power. Expecting impunity because after all, they are are only niggers.

And now Blacks are professionals, CEO's and Presidents. When are you guys gonna get over the past?

14   Dan8267   2016 Jul 21, 1:48pm

When it stops being repeated.

The murder of innocent people by terrorist police is a repeat of the past. When the problem stops, the complaints will stop.

Whether people are favorable or not to BLM seems to depend on how they view how things work now. I think that the concepts (or premises) that BLM are built on are (1) that cops disproportionately and carelessly kill black people and that (2) they are never punished for it and there is no concerted effort to address the problem. Because of (2), we cannot expect (1) to change. The only explanations for (2) are (a) because black lives don't matter to people or (b) people don't understand the problem. IMO, BLM is an attempt to draw attention to the problem (b) and state that black lives do matter.

If people don't agree with (1) and (2), then BLM people just look like rabble rouser complainers. IMO, the research results so far on how the race of suspects impacts police action is mixed. IMO, the attention on police behavior has been a positive, and at the very least, it has highlighted the shameful difference in how deadly the police are in the US relative to other countries.

16   FuckTheMainstreamMedia   2016 Jul 21, 2:45pm

It's pretty clear Jazz and YesYNot have zero clue as to actual police corruption, how it was caught, and how it was prosecuted.

I'll start you guys off so you can see what corruption really looks like.

1.) LAPD Rampart Scandal. The salon.com and the PBS articles can be found on a Google search. Both are accurate. Google Rafael Perez Nino durden and also Joseph Robinson and Frank Lyga

2.) Ruben Palomares and William Ferguson

3.) Luis Valenzuela and James Nichols

4.) http://jasmyneacannick.com/blog/
She's not always correct, but she's correct a lot and apparently has people in the Department leaking her info. Most of the people who leave comments are morons though.

So there, you can read up on real actual corruption and that which is actually prosecuted and why. And stop believing in the make believe corruption that BLM promotes.

599 Americans killed by police SO FAR this year alone. I know I know you are absolutely fine with that so no need to comment that again.

How many have been killed by criminals SO FAR?
Besides, the 599 killed by cops were probably ALL criminals. Tell me why I should feel sorry for criminals dying?

20   Shaman   2016 Jul 21, 3:49pm

Most of that 599 were white people. Mostly criminals, people high on whatever, but non-black. White people should be just as concerned about police aggression, but somehow we are not. This is probably because the grand majority of the time a white person or a black person is killed by the police, they richly deserve it. The other times are tragic and mostly caused by poor LEOs making poor decisions.
