Everett nursing home accused of neglect after death of man, 97
http://www.heraldnet.com/article/20091016/NEWS01/710169847
A lawsuit was filed against the Everett Rehabilitation and Care Center earlier this week. The lawsuit alleges that nursing home staff failed to adequately care for a patient who had developed penile cancer. The man died March 31, 2008, about two weeks after he was rushed to the emergency room and doctors made the grim discovery.
They were the first to report that the man's penis had disintegrated, Seattle attorney James Gooding said Thursday.
“They were shocked and didn't know what had happened. They had never seen anything like that,” Gooding said. “No one at Everett Rehab did anything or told anybody about his condition. We believe it was negligence. They didn't care.”
The state Department of Social and Health Services later cited the home for failing to provide adequate care to the man.

Sun Healthcare Group Inc, out of New Mexico, operates this facility. They committed elder abuse and manslaughter numerous times in 2003 which I reported to the Dept of Health and Dept of Justice, since they had a permanent injunction against them for killing patients in a Burlingame skilled nursing facility in 2000 during a heatwave without HVAC system. Their own medical director, Dr L Scott Stoney, Newport Beach, Calif., testified in 2008 they killed my mother.
They apologized then cheated me out of wrongful death and treble damages after a traumatic pancreatic surgery rendered me disabled -I sued my attorny for the malpractice and he died 2 weeks later. Daniel Leipold, must have been on Sun's payroll or receiving kickbacks from someone close to them -as they are being investigated for medical kickbacks made through Harborside Nursing Homes. Very interesting stuff.... SUNH is publicly traded and the board of directors has recently been made aware of these crimes.
Read his testimony on my website: www.sunhealthcaregroupinc.blogspot.com/
