    Yes, this has been true for decades, but a 2011 study found the increases have become concentrated in areas that support same-sex marriage:

    "an increase in the number of same-sex couples by one in 1,000 households is associated with a 1.1 percent price premium in enclaves that backed gay marriage. The same influx in areas that didn’t support same-sex marriage was linked to a 1 percent discount."

    Previous studies had found significant increases but had not considered local politics. As religious Republicans in particular seem unable to tolerate the presence of any facts contrary to their doctrine, those communities don't get the benefit other communities do.
