This guy won't even be a footnote in economic history, except perhaps along with other snake oil salesmen. Bespoke populist regurgitation of fundamentals with the promise of return always "right around the corner".

Pretty cool that they filmed this entirely on-location on planet Krypton.

bunch of platitudes, but nothing you can say, "hey either this happens or it doesn't," so no matter what happens, he can claim he predicted it...

He seems to strongly lean toward major inflation. The timeline give is only "sometime during the Obama term."

Take a relatively good speaker + a bunch of half truths and you get a youtube video that sucks a lot of people in to his doom and gloom theory, and maybe buy some of his books.
"The post office has been in business for like 100 years and they still can't make a profit." Failing of course to understand that the post office IS, and has been for a very long time, profitable. Congress's idiotic 2006 mandate is what's killing them, and that $5.5 billion bill would kill any comparable company too.
Only thing I really agree with him on is we don't make stuff. We have got to stop letting our money leave our shores if we hope to have any future.

He sells gold too. He needs gloom and doom to sell his wares.

We won WWII. We've extracted tribute from the entire world ever since by requiring them to only use our fiat US dollars to transact business. ie; buy oil on the world market. If we don't have the will/ability to blow them up when they use another currency then that is a game changer.

I think that's why every once in a while the powers that be place a psycho in office. The world needs to believe that we have the bomb AND are crazy enough to use it. That gets us past the bumps when the "full faith and credit" part of the equation falls short.

You know what, let's use a litmus test here. I am not as you put it a "born again Christian psycho" but frankly I would like to know if you would also use the phrase "Jewish fanatical Zionist" or anything else of the sort?

I would use the phrase "Zionist psycho" since not all Jews are Zionist, not all Zionists are Jews and not all Zionists are psychos. Just as not all Christians are "born again" and not all born again Christians are phychos.

You are spinning. I said specifically the phrase "Jewish fanatical Zionist" for those you felt who were. In others words what is good for one should be good for another or not at all, if you are going to attach Christian to something you should be ready willing and able to attach another religion without a problem.

I didn't mean to attach born again Christians like Bush with Christianity. IMO they're not Christian. They're using Christianity to hide their hatred and bigotry behind. A wolf in sheep's clothing as the Bible says. It's like the saying, "the moral majority are neither." Anyone can call themselves a Christian and say they're saved but, "by their fruits you will know them."

Everything Schiff says in this lecture is correct. His detractors on this blog, were probably laughing at him five years when he predicted the ral estate crash.

Peter schiff began predicting the real estate crash in the late 90s... 8 years early = completely wrong...
he predicted huge stock market crash continuing at the exact bottom 3 years ago...

Sadaam threatened to go off the dollar standard and threatened to start selling oil denominated in euros and other currencies. WE all know what happened to him.
