" William Edward Hickman, whose gruesome, sadistic dismemberment of 12-year-old girl named Marion Parker in 1927 shocked the nation. Rand filled her early notebooks with worshipful praise of Hickman."

Apparently some can't read a title or a link.

You're a troll on a website message board. You don't get to set everyone's subject.

I haven't watched South Park in ages. Maybe I should start again. That is some funny (bleep) right there.

Paul Ryan only worships the naked self-centered economic rationale of Ayn Rand. Like many cultists, he picks and chooses and is only a "Randist" in certain ways, the utter hostility to religion just won't play in Peoria.

Footnote: I have long been amused that Rand Paul is a pro-life Christian.

Hmmm, a cult which follows a bastardized version of Nietzscheanism. Considers sociopathy a virtue. Wants to eliminate the undesirables of society. World is in a horrible long term economic crisis...

I think I have seen this movie. It doesn't end well for anyone.

Actually I did see the first part of the movie Atlas Shrugged I also caught part of the equally awful Left Behind series about the christian rapture. Its pretty much the same story. Both make me wish MST3000 was still on the air.

Democracy NOW! reported that Ryan gave copies of Rand's books to Congressional staff as Christmas presents. Evidently, he hadn't read that she despised Christianity. Also, people who have actually read Atlas Shrugged would know that she especially reviled the crony capitalism and lemon socialism that rewarded mediocrity and failure, e.g. TARP, which Ryan voted for.

I worship Soros too, even though I disagree with his politics. What is the point?

So long as it was debt-fuelled spending authorised by a Republican (and during the Bush years, there was an awful lot of debt-fuelled spending authorised by Republicans) Ryan was out voting for it.

Paul Ryan in many ways is the poster boy of the Republican party, because you can't find a better hypocrite than him.

Ayn Rand has some good ideas on the subject of money, but her outlook on morality is very immature.

    from the article:

who "has no organ for understanding ... the necessity, meaning, or importance of other people" is what we today would call a sociopath.

Wouldn't that be a psychopath? I would think a sociopath would be someone who had the organ for understanding but didn't use it.
