The plea agreement with Ramona, Calif. realty agent Theresa Rose, 57, says the defendants arranged real estate sales with inflated prices funded by mortgage lenders based on fraudulent loan applications. She collected commissions on sales as every other real estate agent does.

People doing a life sentence have clean credit many times! They will gladly sign any document you want for much less than 10k. Its so nice the feds were buying up all these liar loans and bailing out the private banks that bought the liar loans. This is why merica is a great country and everone wants to come here. Try explaining this situation to someone from a 3rd world country - I doubt they would believe you if you could explain it.
