You could put down the camera and help. The camera will continue recording.

Did it ever occur to anyone, that the duo does this all the time, and the owner is just filming it to share?

Or I could live with filming anything is illegal, we're way too caught up, on video clips. We bitch and moan more about videos of bar sluts, with fist fighting daughters than we are about crimes politicians in Washington commit on an ongoing daily basis.

The other possibility is that this is the fourth or fifth puppy he had to toss in there in order to get the footage right. I don't know if dead puppies float, so there's probably a pile of them at the bottom of the pool.

I am still blown away by this story. The burn victim supposedly told the dog to get help.

You would think the K9 would have had the intelligence to go to the fire dept. as opposed to the donut shop.

Did he say "get help?" or did he say, "get a fireman?" Let's give the dog a break - he probably doesn't speak great english. that, and maybe donuts were on special that night.

Labs are called "Water Dogs" right?

I hope the guy filming is a white male, that way you get double bonus points for jumping conclusions, and hating him for nothing.

Dude, I'm not crucifying the guy. I'm just commenting on his apparent lack of concern. I, for one, would have jumped in the pool clothes and all to help.

In any case, I think we can all agree that dogs are awesome.

The dogs would have stepped on your head on the way out, and just barked at your lifeless body. But only hours later when you were late on their kibble installment.

Dogs don't drown, they tread water for hours, humans don't realize that. The number of dumb humans trying to save dogs that ended drowning in the process, only to have the dog out of the water by time someone else discovers the scene. Is far more common than dogs drowning.

sure Google "dog drowns" and you'll find more stories of owners drowning trying to save the dog, while the dog always lives, when rescuers show up.
