I mean someone making 70K a year, looking to buy a $77,000 house
should be able to buy with no money down.
I don't know any houses at that price or any buyers with that income that would buy that cheap of a house. That is not real world, Captain. I know people who have income at that level that want to try to afford a home that will make them uncomfortable financially.
They hope inflation in the future will cause their payments to be manageable, but what if we have deflation?
I bought one in 2011, albeit a condo. 62.5K where I live now..
I dont regret the purchase but should have bought a SFH at that time as there was Fire sale in South FL. Now not too sure with the prices up again and bidding wars going on - On 30 Dec 2012

Read the WSJ everyday
Maybe the WSJ of 20-30 years ago, but certainly not today's fox news version. The WSJ has become as much an extension of the R party as the NYT has become of the D party. I see more inaccurate and/or political propaganda articles in the WSJ than in any other mainstream news source. The Economist is a better bet and is a lot less parochial.
completely agree
cant get myself to read it through anymore..fox propaganda in print
sad way to go for such a prestigious news paper
tomorrow will b last delivery of my wsj - On 26 Dec 2012
